One year later Motogp URT, the second episode of MotoGP URT serie is released in 20th June 2003. Firstly available on XBOX and one month later on PC, Climax/THQ continue to do the best motorcycle racing games. If you like motorcycle, it's definitively the game you need. It's not a surprise that THQ keep his way of doing bikes racing games : motogp 2 is an arcade game wich insist in the spectacular side of the races.

In this game you can play in solo, quick race and time trial are easy to understand. This modes allow you to do a quick race with IA or to beat your best records.
Before entering in career mode, you have to create a driver alloting 18 points in 4 different skills (acceleration, maximum speed, stability and braking).
After doing that you can race against the real drivers of motogp : thanks to the official license.

The career mode is presented as a championship in three different difficulties (rookie, pro and legend) and you race on all tracks like in real life starting with Suzuka but you also do challenges where you have to complete different goals.
The first time you start a race, you see that the game is really beautifull (even three years after the realease) with great grafic effects like buring effect with high speed (but it isn't really good to be fast).
The sounds aren't as good as grafics, engine sounds are weird and musics aren't so good but it doesn't waste the entertainment.
And to play this game, you don't need a big computer, a 'simple' Athlon 1600+ with 256MB are well enough.
But the main feature is multiplayer mode where you can race against guys from all over the world, not to mention that the motogp pc community is the best community i have ever seen.

You can race on all 17 tracks in normal, mirror or reverse, in sunny or rainy conditions and with different rates of simulation. If you turn collisions off, you can set easily new records using draft following other players (and the better they are the easier it is), you will always meet people on your level on gamespy, it's the best way to improve your skills and make friends.
